چکیده
Introduction and Aim: The onset of cardio metabolic disorders in the later parts adult life requires development early screening techniques. current study is an approach to design evaluate easy-to-use method for diagnosis disorders. Materials Methods: was performed after institutional ethical approval. Fifty-two healthy but, obese volunteers aged 17-25 years with BMI ?25.0 were included. Salivary cortisol level estimated by ELISA. ?-amylase measured kinetic enzyme assay. Data expressed as Mean ± SD. association between anthropometric parameters salivary amylase done Pearson correlation test. p value< 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: male female subjects did not show significant (p>0.05) except BMI. Similarly, Waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), A body shape index (ABSI), Body Round Index (BRI) Physical Fitness (PFI). Waist hip (WHR) found be significantly correlated (p=0.01) whereas, fat % negatively level. Conclusion: newly proposed such WHtR, ABSI, BRI, PFI proved ideal prediction both genders.

Salivary biomarkers associated with academic assessment stress among dental undergraduates.
This study aims to assess the difference in self-perceived stress before and after an academic assessment and its association with the marks scored and to study the association of salivary cortisol, Immunoglobulin A (IgA), and chromogranin A (CgA) with stress levels before and after the assessment. Thirty-one third-year dental undergraduates indicated how stressed they felt on a 5-point rating ...
متن کاملAnthropometric parameters and their associations with cardio-metabolic risk in Chinese working population
BACKGROUND There remains controversy regarding which of the anthropometric indicators best defines obesity. In this study, we compared the efficacy of using body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC) and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) in the diagnosis of obesity and assessed their associations with diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia in an urban working population in China. METHODS Anthro...
متن کاملAnthropometric parameters--predictive factors for cardio-metabolic diseases.
UNLABELLED The aim of this study was to evaluate comparatively the predictive power of body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC), two anthropometric parameters used in daily practice, for detecting cardio-metabolic diseases, in a rural community in north-east Romania. MATERIAL AND METHODS We evaluated 3248 persons, aged 19 or over, for whom we collected the following data: medical hi...
متن کاملAssociations of sitting accumulation patterns with cardio-metabolic risk biomarkers in Australian adults
BACKGROUND High amounts of time spent sitting can increase cardiovascular disease risk and are deleteriously associated cardio-metabolic risk biomarkers. Though evidence suggests that accruing sitting time in prolonged periods may convey additional risk, verification using high-quality measures is needed. We examined this issue in adults from the Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle Study...
متن کاملReplacing sitting time with standing or stepping: associations with cardio-metabolic risk biomarkers.
AIMS While excessive sitting time is related adversely to cardio-metabolic health, it is unknown whether standing is a suitable replacement activity or whether ambulatory movement is required. Using isotemporal substitution analyses, we modelled cross-sectional associations with cardio-metabolic risk biomarkers of reallocating time (2 h/day) from sitting to standing or to stepping. METHODS AN...
